Since 2006, after 25 years of sculpting dolls, Edna Dali has begun creating one-of-a-kind sculptures, made entirely from high temparture clay. This new method is revealed in the collections 'Circus of Life' and 'Edgar' in which she transforms the art of sculpture to showcase periods, situations and philosophical & human truths.
In the “Circus of life” series Edna present reality in a slightly disguised way. Through her grotesque and exaggerated figures she reflects the search of equilibrium. While "Edgar" basically represents each of us. The "little man" who has been given the simple right to exist. We get acquainted with him during several stages of his life and different state of minds.
